Studio
A small studio in Kirkland.
We build apps for everyday life: reading and listening, independent work, and whatever comes next.
OWN PLACE LLC started with a simple idea: the tools you use every day should feel like your own place. Clear, quiet, and on your side.
Talefall was first: an audiobook player and reader for your own books, with an AI studio that writes and narrates new ones. OwnPlace is next: a professional space for independent specialists and their clients. More is on the way.
We are a small team, and we like it that way. It keeps us close to the people who use what we make.
01 Private by design
No tracking, no ads, no data we do not need. If it can work on your device, it does.
02 Pay fairly
Prices you can understand in one sentence: a one-time purchase where that makes sense, a subscription where a service costs us money to run. No surprise charges, no dark patterns.
03 Built with care
Small details matter. We test on real days, with real books and real schedules, before we ship.
