A player for your own books
Import MP3, M4A, M4B, AAC, FLAC and more (files, folders or ZIP) from the Files app or over Wi-Fi, or open MP3, M4B and ZIP audiobooks from other apps with “Open in Talefall”. Every book resumes to the exact second, with speeds from 0.75× to 2×, chapters, bookmarks and a sleep timer. No purchase, no account, no ads.

Listen and read along
Import an EPUB, PDF, FB2 or TXT, or paste text, and listen with an Apple voice right on your iPhone, offline and without a purchase. The sentence being read is highlighted in step with the voice. Turn an audiobook into text with on-device speech recognition; the audio never leaves your iPhone.

The Talefall voice
With the Talefall Subscription, your texts and AI books are narrated in the Talefall voice on our service, with native English, Spanish and Russian narrators. It uses subscription hours and is for adults (18+) in supported countries. The Apple voice on your iPhone needs no purchase.

Your idea becomes an audiobook
Describe a story, an explainer or a how-to in a few sentences, then choose the language (English, Russian or Spanish) and the length, from 15 minutes to 5 hours. An AI model writes the text and the Talefall voice narrates it chapter by chapter; finished chapters download in the background, depending on notification permission and iOS. Requires the Talefall Subscription; adults (18+) in supported countries.

Classics on your home page
My Books opens with Continue, Create a Book and Open Your Own File. In the US App Store, a Start Listening shelf suggests public-domain classics read by LibriVox volunteers; remove any title or hide the shelf. Search your books and the catalogs at once: LibriVox audiobooks (also via Internet Archive) and Project Gutenberg texts. One AI sample story is included.

The player, the reader, Apple voices, transcription and read-along need no purchase or trial. The Talefall Subscription ($9.99 a month, auto-renewing) covers only books from your ideas and narration in the Talefall voice: up to 5 hours of new audio each billing period. Creating books and narration in the Talefall voice are for adults (18+) in supported countries.
Unused subscription hours do not carry over; listening never uses hours. When the offer is available in the app and you have no active subscription, you can order one AI book of about 15 minutes on us, once per Apple Account, within daily limits and while the offer lasts (Terms of Use, Section 4.0). Earlier purchases stay yours. US price; Apple shows the local price before purchase.
Your library stays on your device.
Books from ideas are written by AI. Before your first AI order, Talefall asks your permission to send your idea, settings and text directly to OpenAI, under our contract and data processing agreement with OpenAI; no model training. Stories are fiction; explainers and how-tos cover general topics. Do not include real personal or health information about anyone, including yourself. AI-written text can contain mistakes. Our server copy of a book is deleted after delivery.
