The App is distributed only on the App Store storefronts where OWN PLACE LLC makes it available. It is not distributed on the storefronts of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. After download, the player keeps working wherever the device is, subject to the Terms of Use and applicable law.
The Talefall Subscription and its server features — creating a book from an idea and narrating your own text in the Talefall voice — and, in App version 1.3.2 and later, the first book on us (one AI book of about 15 minutes without a subscription; Terms of Use, Section 4.0) are offered only to people who are physically located in one of the countries and regions listed below (the “Supported Territories”) when they buy, order, or send a request. Eligibility is not based on citizenship, residence, or the country of your Apple Account.
Extra hours. App version 1.3.2 and later does not sell extra-hours packs. Earlier versions may offer them to subscribers until we withdraw the product from sale; such purchases are subject to the same territorial limits. Extra hours already bought are honoured and can be used, with an active subscription, from a Supported Territory (Terms of Use, Section 4.3).
How we check. Our server determines the country of each request from the request’s IP address and refuses requests that come from outside the Supported Territories, from a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or from a location it cannot determine. A refused request creates no order, sends nothing to an AI provider, uses no hours, and does not use up the first book on us. We record the country code and the refusal, not the IP address. Purchases also depend on the App Store offering the product in your storefront. Please do not use a VPN or another person’s Apple Account to get around this check (Terms of Use, Sections 4.9 and 7).
Sanctions. Independently of this list, the Service is not available to blocked or sanctioned persons or to anyone located in a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and the Crimea, so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, and so-called Luhansk People’s Republic regions of Ukraine. Countries not listed below, such as Syria and Russia, are excluded as a service restriction, and targeted sanctions and export controls apply everywhere. Our country check is a territorial control and does not by itself establish that a person is eligible under sanctions law.
Travelling. Outside the Supported Territories you cannot send new requests, including an order for the first book on us, but the player and the books already on the device keep working, and unused extra hours stay recorded for later use. An existing subscription may continue to renew while you are away unless you cancel it; unused monthly hours still expire at renewal. If we remove the territory in which you bought and normally use the subscription, we will explain how to cancel and help you request an Apple refund for a materially unusable paid period. Privacy requests, withdrawals of permission, and content reports are accepted from anywhere.
This list may change when required by law, a service-provider restriction, or an App Store requirement. We will give advance notice where reasonably practicable. See also the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

This includes, without limitation: all European Union member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Russia, Belarus, China, Macao, Türkiye, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, Venezuela, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Morocco, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Myanmar, Cameroon, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Niger, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Seychelles.

If you are in a Supported Territory and the App cannot load the subscription, make sure the subscription is offered in your Apple Account’s App Store storefront, that you are physically in a Supported Territory, and that you are connected to the Internet, then try again.
